Our morning started out on the right foot - big bowls of muesli, facetime with a couple of our family and friends and finishing off the other half of the cheesecake leftover from the night before. Breakfast of champions!
After a quick visit to the local castle of Inveraray, we hit the road and immediately felt like we were part of a Ferrari convention, as 30 or so flew alarmingly close past us over the course of 2 hours. Despite our several brushes with death, we were still able to enjoy Scotland's rugged beauty as the sun came out as we rode beside loch after loch and wound our way through the highlands.
We encounter some extremely friendly highland cows, rode over the beautiful Connell Bridge, had lunch sitting on the pavement of a quaint village and rolled along the smoothest cycle path of the journey for a good 15 miles to our b&b. We made friends with our hosts who chewed our ears off for a good hour and made even more friends at the local pub. All in all, 'twas a good day.
