In May 2014, Lucy and her crew cycled from Land's End to John o' Groats, learning Britain one long day at a time.
The route traded postcard scenery for rain, tired legs, family rendezvous and the small rituals that make a multi-day ride possible.
Daily notes in the journal preserve the trip as it happened: brave hearts, sore bums, wet roads, good meals and the strange momentum that arrives when the destination is still hundreds of miles away.
LEJOG became proof that a large adventure could be broken into ordinary daily decisions, and it planted the seed for harder journeys later.
